1. 你要提醒众人服从执政的、掌权的，顺从他们，预备行各样的善事。 Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready unto every good work,
2. 不要毁谤人，不要争竞，乃要谦让宜人，向众人显出十分的温柔。 To slander no one, to be uncontentious, gentle, showing all meekness toward all men.
3. 因为我们从前也是无知、悖逆、受迷惑的，给各样的私欲和宴乐作奴仆，将生命时光耗费于恶毒和嫉妒，是可恨的，又是彼此相恨。 For we also were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving as slaves various lusts and pleasures, spending our lives in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.
4. 然而，当我们救主神的恩慈，和祂对人的爱显现的时候， But when the kindness and the love to man of our Savior God appeared,
5. 祂便救了我们，并不是本于我们所成就的义行，乃是照着祂的怜悯，借着重生的洗涤，和圣灵的更新。 Not out of works in righteousness which we did but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit,
6. 这圣灵就是神借着耶稣基督我们的救主，丰丰富富浇灌在我们身上的， Whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7. 好叫我们既因祂的恩典得称义，就可以照着永远生命的盼望成为后嗣。 In order that having been justified by His grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
8. 这话是可信的，我也愿你把这些事确实坚信的讲明，使那些已信神的人留心作正经事业。这些都是美事，并且与人有益。 Faithful is the word, and concerning these things I desire you to confidently affirm, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to maintain respectable works. These things are good and profitable to men.
9. 但要远避愚拙的辩论、家谱、争竞、以及因律法而起的争论，因为这些都是无益虚妄的。 But avoid foolish questionings and genealogies and strifes and contentions about the law, for they are unprofitable and vain.
10. 分门结党的人，警戒过一两次，就要拒绝； A factious man, after a first and second admonition, refuse,
11. 知道这等人已经深入歧途，虽定自己的罪，仍是犯罪。 Knowing that such a one is perverted and is sinning, though he is condemned by his own self.
12. 我打发亚提马或推基古到你那里去的时候，你要赶紧往尼哥波立去见我，因为我已经定意在那里过冬。 When I send Artemas to you or Tychicus, be diligent to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have decided to spend the winter there.
13. 你要赶紧给律法师西纳和亚波罗送行，叫他们没有缺乏。 Zenas the lawyer and Apollos send forward diligently that nothing may be lacking to them.
14. 并且我们的人也要学习作正经事业，好应必需，免得不结果子。 And let those also who are ours learn to maintain respectable works for their necessary needs, that they may not be unfruitful.
15. 同我在一起的众人都问你安。请代问那些因信爱我们的人安。愿恩典与你们众人同在。 All who are with me greet you. Greet those who love us in faith. Grace be with you all.
