1. 所罗门的箴言：智慧之子使父亲喜乐；愚昧之子叫母亲忧愁。 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a father glad, But a foolish son is a grief to his mother.
2. 不义之财毫无益处；惟有公义能救人脱离死亡。 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, But righteousness delivers from death.
3. 耶和华不让义人受饥饿；但恶人所欲的，祂必推开。 Jehovah will not allow the soul of the righteous man to go hungry, But he thrusts away the desire of the wicked.
4. 闲懒的手，造成贫穷；殷勤的手，使人富足。 A slack hand causes poverty, But the hand of the diligent makes rich.
5. 夏天聚敛的，是明智之子；收割时睡觉的，是贻羞之子。 He who gathers in summer is a prudent son, But he who sleeps at harvest time is a son who brings shame.
6. 祝福临到义人的头；恶人的口包藏强暴。 Blessings are upon the head of the righteous man, But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.
7. 义人的记念被称赞；恶人的名字必朽烂。 The memory of the righteous man is blessed, But the name of the wicked will rot.
8. 心中有智慧的，必受命令；说话愚妄的，必致倾倒。 The wise in heart will receive commandments, But the foolish in speech will be cast down.
9. 行为纯全的，步步安稳；道路弯曲的，必致败露。 He who walks in integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will be known.
10. 挤眉弄眼的，使人忧伤；说话愚妄的，必致倾倒。 He who winks with the eye causes grief, And the foolish in speech will be cast down.
11. 义人的口是生命的泉源；恶人的口包藏强暴。 The mouth of the righteous man is a fountain of life, But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.
12. 恨能挑启争端；爱能遮掩一切过错。 Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all transgressions.
13. 聪明人嘴里有智慧；无知人背上受刑杖。 In the lips of one who has understanding wisdom is found, But a rod is for the back of him who lacks sense.
14. 智慧人珍藏知识；愚妄人的口速致败坏。 Wise men treasure up knowledge, But the mouth of a fool is imminent destruction.
15. 富户的财物是他的坚城；穷人的贫乏是他的败坏。 The rich man's substance is his strong city; The ruin of the poor is their poverty.
16. 义人的工价引到生命；恶人的进项引到罪恶。 The wages of the righteous man lead to life; The income of the wicked man, to sin.
17. 谨守训诲的，乃在生命的途径上；离弃责备的，便失迷了路。 He who heeds instruction is on the path of life, But he who forsakes reproof goes astray.
18. 包藏怨恨的，有说谎的嘴唇；口出谗谤的，是愚昧的人。 He who conceals hatred has lying lips, And he who utters slander is a fool.
19. 多言多语难免有过；约束嘴唇乃为明智。 When there are many words transgression does not cease, But he who restrains his lips is prudent.
20. 义人的舌如同精选的银子；恶人的心所值无几。 The tongue of the righteous man is like choice silver; The heart of the wicked is worth little.
21. 义人的嘴喂养多人；愚妄人因无知而死亡。 The lips of the righteous man feed many, But fools die for lack of sense.
22. 耶和华所赐的福使人富足，并不加上忧愁。 It is the blessing of Jehovah that makes rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.
23. 愚昧人以施行恶计为戏耍；聪明人却以智慧为乐。 Carrying out a wicked scheme is like sport to a fool, But so is wisdom to a man of understanding.
24. 恶人所怕的，必临到他；义人所愿的，必蒙赐与。 The fear of the wicked man will come upon him, And the desire of the righteous will be granted.
25. 暴风一过，恶人归于无有；义人却有永久的根基。 When the whirlwind passes, the wicked man is no more; But the righteous man is an everlasting foundation.
26. 懒惰人叫差他的人如醋倒牙，如烟薰目。 Like vinegar to the teeth and like smoke to the eyes, So is the sluggard to those who send him.
27. 敬畏耶和华使人日子加多；但恶人的年岁必被减少。 The fear of Jehovah prolongs days, But the years of the wicked will be shortened.
28. 义人的盼望必得喜乐；恶人的指望必至灭没。 The hope of the righteous is joy, But the expectation of the wicked will perish.
29. 耶和华的道路是纯全人的保障，却成了作孽人的败坏。 The way of Jehovah is a stronghold to the upright, But it is ruin to the workers of iniquity.
30. 义人永不动摇；恶人不得住在地上。 The righteous man will never be moved, But the wicked will not dwell in the land.
31. 义人的口滋生智慧；乖谬的舌必被割断。 The mouth of the righteous man brings forth wisdom, But the perverse tongue will be cut off.
32. 义人的嘴能令人喜悦，恶人的口却说乖谬的话。 The lips of the righteous man know what is acceptable, But the mouth of the wicked is perverse.
